The MPO adapter is a fiber optic coupler for use with MPO/MTP connectors . It is intended for keyup to key-down (Type A) multi-fiber configurations . The coupler body is aqua(Available in different colours) which aids in identification of the type of installed fiber in use . The MPO adapter a high-qualityfiber optic coupler for use in a variety of panel layout configurations, and features a full mounting flange for permanent installations . The coupler ships with dual dust caps to minimize dust and debris entering the optical path.

Multi-fiber push on connectors, or MPO Adapter for short, are fiber connectors comprised of multiple optical fibers . While defined as anarray connector having more than 2 fibers, MPO Connectors are typically available with 8, 12 or 24 fibers for common data center and LAN applications .
